Alan Coelho de Cellos said that in 1993, the relations between China and Pakistan were upgraded to a strategic partnership and further upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2012. In the field of economic and trade relations, China and Pakistan have witnessed the same upward trajectory. Over the past two decades, bilateral trade between China and Pakistan has grown from $9 billion to $157 billion. In 2023, Brazil's total exports to China reached $104 billion. He added that in the next 50 years, the challenge for China and Brazil is to diversify their trade and build new partnerships, welcoming more Chinese high-tech companies to set up research and development centers in Brazil.
