NOTICE FROM NATIONAL IMMIGRATION ADMINISTRATION

In order to further improve the efficiency of the issuance and inspection of foreigners' visas and residence permits, and enhance the anti-counterfeiting performance of certificates, the National Immigration Administration has decided to use three types of certificates, namely, new foreigners' visas, group visas and residence permits. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

1. Since June 1, 2019, the exit-entry administration departments of public security organs across the country have begun to issue new versions of foreigner visas, group visas and residence permits, while stopping the issuance of current versions of visas, special economic zone tourist visas, group visas and foreigner residence permits. The special economic zone tourist visa business is issued using the new version of the visa.

2. The new version of the foreigner visa, group visa and residence permit for the International Civil Aviation Organization DOC9303 machine-readable travel document design and production of sticker certificates, the use of a number of physical anti-counterfeiting technology, the new version of the visa and foreigner residence permit to print color photos of the holder.

3. After the launch of the new version of the foreigner visa, group visa and residence permit, the application conditions and channels, approval procedures and standards, fee items and standards, and inspection requirements of various certificates will remain unchanged. Previously issued documents can continue to be used normally within the validity period.
